Had a fun weekday on the slopes. Blue sky and wall to wall sunshine.

I’ve been waiting all summer to try this out. Ski Tracks app for iPhone. I tried it out and it gives some pretty interesting stats and maps to look at from your day on the mountain.
It offers time lapse replay from your runs, speed/altitude plots and automatically recognises runs vs lifts. It also allows you to access your ipod so as not to interrupt your music. You can export the maps as a .kmz file to google maps. It doesn’t drain the battery as much as I thought. Pretty cool! Now to try and beat 30mph.

This is a mind blowingly good app that I downloaded for recently. It’s free and avaliable as usual from your app store. The app basically provides a looping soundscape based on your activity and mood, put together from a variety of stuff from the OST and augments this with sounds and noises from the world around you. It’s pretty cool and essentially provides your own Brian Eno-esque compilation. It hasn’t induced any dreams for me yet though.

This is a great new photo app for the iphone. And the best thing is its completely free! The filters are pretty good and cover good ground across the ‘lomo spectrum’. Its no substitute for the real film, but its a good substitute. Check it out
